Do you need doors at all?
We didn't find any Vermont statute requiring doors, but we couldn't rule one out from the official code either. The equipment rules (mirrors first) are what usually draw a stop.
Vermont requires periodic safety inspection under the DMV Periodic Inspection Manual; its mirror/body criteria were not reviewed here and may be stricter than the statutes.
